I have put over $2000 in parts and labor on this car but I am not a mechanic and know nothing about fixing them myself and don´t have the money to continue working on it. It makes a very loud sound from engine area when gas peddle is depressed. May need a new motor, I have found a few used ones for $200-$500. May also Not need a motor. The car DOES start (with jump) and does drive despite the motor sounds. The only thing I know for sure it needs is the steering rack replaced. This is definitely a fixer uper but mostly mechanical work. Sold to the first person handing me $900. Details: This is my daily driver. The mileage is 230,625 and will be different when sold, But not a big difference. This is a rare truck being it has the early 98 12 valve motor in it with a short bed. The dowel pin has been fixed, and no longer leaks oil. The steering has been fixed with dual steering stabilizer and a steering gear box stabilizer. Has cold-air-intake and a 100hp fuel plate.Transmission was completely overhauled with a shift kit, and valve body, along with a heavy duty torque converter. That was completed 7-25-2010. Still runs very strong. Running 5´ exhaust, straight pipe, to a 10´ powder coated black tip. It has been lifted 6 inches with coil springs and add-a-leaf to the rear. It is being sold with 37 inch Nitto Terra grapplers, all terrain tires. With 18´ ION rims. One rim has some marks on it, from a minor crash the truck was involved in 2010. The truck IS A CLEAN TITLE.With that said the whole truck was re-painted during this time. It also had every body panel replaced EXCEPT the doors. We inspected the doors and they appeared fine when we had the truck stripped down. Bedsides, front fenders, rockers, tail gate were all replaced, along with the hood to a 3´ cowl. All completed last year in March-May, 2011. It has an alarm and a remote start on it. Also has Train horns that are rated at 150db. Interior is basically stock with the work truck floor, no carpet, just vinyl on the floor. Seats are in good condition, minus a tiny tear in the drivers seat. Has a 7´ DVD/CD player that goes with the truck. Has the three gauges as well. Boost, transmission, and exhaust temperature gauges. They all work, minus the exhaust temperature. It has a wire issue, an stays maxed out.I do have receipts for the transmission and the dowel pin work. February 14 it received two new batteries and a new starter. Truck runs great. Has been used as a daily, but also a show vehicle. Just to give a figure of add ons:Transmission rebuild $2,500Front cover and pump $2,5006´ Lift $2,000Paint and all the body panels replaced $8,000 Tires + rims $2,000 Any questions, feel free to contact me at 937 three0two 8181. Routine maintenance done every 3-4k miles. Tranny fluid changed and oil changes. New U-joints on rear driveshaft last year when lift was put on. New u-joints went in on the front drive shaft in january. There is a whole in the bed for 5in. exhaust, as it used to have a stack. Stack is gone, but i still have the bed floor cutout if needed to be welded back into place. Bed is rhino lined as well. The tires still look new, & Hardly any tread is gone from them. Brand new brake lines installed last week (3-14-12). Had a line blow out on me, and new ones installed all over.>If you´re going to send me a trade offer. Make it worth while.
