Details: I have decided to sell one of my favorite toys,since I do not have time to enjoy it as it should be.For sale is a 1999 Dodge 2500 2wd Cummins quad cab with a few improvements done to the truck.There are no rust spots. If it was in salt (which is not the best idea being 2wd with that much power),it was washed immediately.I would trust driving it to California and back,but I would wear ear plugs. It is not in show room condition,but have continuously taken care of it. It has more invested in it than what I am asking for it. It has the capabilities of making a tremendous amount of black smoke and noise. No, it does not have a ridiculous sound system in it. It would be a sin to cover up such a nice sound of the engine.It has pulled a trailer on occasion. My car trailer and camper have been hooked to it a few times.It does show a little of its age. It is a truck. It has a ding here and there. It has around 165,000 miles on it with a newer engine and 6-speed manual transmission.It does not do great on an 1/8 mile track. It is a 3/4 ton truck. It has a truck transmission and too much weight on the nose. It does not get terrible fuel mileage.13 mpg is the worst I have ever gotten while pulling my 27´ camper. I normally get 16-20. No,it is not 4wd. Yes,it has been lowered. Yes,those are 22´ wheels and I am from Central Illinois.I have owned the truck for 6 years or so. I am the third owner. The owner before me is a classmate of mine and we were good high school friends. He began the process of turning the truck into a piece of art,and I have continued. Its first life before he purchased it was being owned by an older man.I do not mistreat my truck, but I do like to stretch its legs from time to time. Before the last build,which included the block,HR pump, lines,bigger injectors,cam,and clutch,it ran 425+ hp and 1200 ft/lb of torque at the wheels. It is greater than that now,but if I was to take the next step,It would be twin turbos. It is a little over-fueled at the moment. If twins were installed on the truck,you might as well keep a couple of sets of tires on hand as well as a good life insurance policy. And yes,I have stretched the back axle u-bolts once or twice from the result of pushing the skinny pedal down.I cannot remember everything done but I will list what I can remember:Fuel System: Secondary Holley lift pump at the tank with 1/2´ lines running to the primary lift pump Scheid VP44 Hot Pump .090 injection lines 8 x.011´ (stage IV) injectors Edge Comp boxturned hot (actually needed to de-fuel the engine for daily driving)Drive Train Work: Block replaced at 140k miles due to a bad 53 series casting from Brazil. 12mm head studs fire-ringed head valve job @ 140k custom built s300 hybrid turbo 4´ turbo-back exhaust cam 3-piece aem exhaust manifold silicone intercooler boots aem cold air intake LuK dual friction clutch/pressure plate @ 140k Transmission replaced @ ~100k New tires ~1500 miles ago on the 22´s New tires ~5000 miles ago on the 16´sBody: Brand new steering box, Greasable premium ball joints, Lowering kit 4´ x6´ (I think) (stock springs & shackles included if desired) A-pillar dual gauges (included will be a triple gauge pillar cover)There is more to it than this,but you get the idea.As far as the bad goes,the paint is a little faded and there are some dents and scratches,but like I said,it is a truck and it has been used as one! It does have a little oil consumption because the rings are not fully seated since the rebuild.
