This is THE 1998 Dodge 12 VALVE Cummins Diesel 4 door 1 Ton Dually 4X4!! Try finding these. I looked a long time for this!! Anyway, truck has around 200k miles with less than 3000 miles on a REBUILT Automatic transmission with the Heavy-Duty Billet Torque Converter. I also had the tranny lines replaced. I also JUST put $1500.00 worth of 10 Ply Cooper Tires on.(The Taller Size, Studded LT235/85/16). About two-three thousand miles on those also. Stock except for 4´ straight pipe exhaust. It has trailer brakes, hitch on back, AND a NEW Foldover gooseneck ball installed in bed, HOWEVER, framework has not been finished underneath. Oh, I also bought some of those way cool towing mirrors. Though not the power ones$$ :-( It starts, runs, and drives well. That being said, IT IS NOT PERFECT!! They sell those down at the dealer for about 50K. It will still needs some things done in the future to have an Awesome truck that will last a long time Without spending $50,000.00 for a new one!! If you are looking for a Cummins that hasn´t been owned and abused by some kid, this could be the truck for you. It is a pretty good looking truck with a little bit of wear as expected on any used truck. The cons are: Fuel silenoid is gone, has a cable to kill it. Bug shield on hood is broke. Windshield is cracked. Front end hasn´t been done. Minor oil leak, looks like the cooler line. Little wear inside. Cracked Windshield, horn and cruise not working. Both on steering wheel?? And probably any other thing you could find on a truck with 200K miles. OK, thats what I can think of right now. I have done a lot of repairs to it and its maintained well. Downside because i know you will ask. Has cosmetic issues all around. Windshield cracked, interior console is not the right one but works great, paint is rough, (though its typical for these trucks at this age), as far as mechanical it has a bad synchro to second gear but has since I bought it 3 years ago...but 1st is ultra low so I just start in second anyway, so it really doesnt affect anything. Also the heater control has decided to work on high only but I dont think its a hard thing to fix. It has A/C but needs charged up. I never did it because I didnt think it was necessary for me to have it. Details: I have a very nice 2000 Dodge Intrepid. It is an automatic with a very nice interior. The water pump went out at 174,000 miles and since it was an internal pump that ran on the timing chain we decided to rebuild the entire engine while it was apart. It is still in the shop but should be ready by this weekend 3/9. EVERYTHING in the engine has been replace or reconditioned! Entire new gaskets (oil pan, rear and front seal, oil pump gasket, head gaskets, valve and intake gaskets and of course water pump gasket) new water pump, new oil pump, new timing chain and guides, rebuilt heads (valves ground and valve seats, new hydraulic lifters), piston walls were honed and new rings were installed, new rod and main bearings and new transmission seal. If you were to buy this exact same reconditioned engine from Auto Zone or Napa you would pay $3700-$4000 for the block alone (no intake, alternator, a/c pump etc.). All of the fluids have been flushed and replaced. Rebuild worth over $3,000. I´m only asking $3500 for this car which is a great price! Similar cars with non-rebuilt engines go on CL for anywhere from $3,999 to $5,4000. I am only asking $3500/obo. I have all my receipts and ready to sell this bad boy because I have a lot of money in her rebuild. The pic is of her in the shop. I will put up better ones tonight when I go over to the shop.
